Allegheny provides Professional Services, Program Management and Information Technology solutions for federal, state, and local governments, federal civilian agencies, and commercial clients. We work in areas such as project management, financial analysis, software and systems engineering, as well as training and simulation, and specialized scientific, engineering, and technical support.
Our company’s principals have multiple years of experience in technology-based industries. Our projects have included federally funded initiatives from the U.S Department of Defense (Office of the Secretary of Defense), U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Justice (Federal Bureau of Investigation - CJIS), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.

Arria Whiston | President/CEO
Arria is an accomplished program manager and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in program management, project control, and operations management. Prior to starting up Allegheny Science & Technology Corporation, she was a key strategic contributor at SAIC as Director of Programs, providing management oversight for an operation exceeding $120M in annual revenue. Her project management experience ranges from software/systems engineering to the construction of an 18-hole Arnold Palmer designed golf course. Leveraging extensive skills in business and project planning and execution, Arria has positioned Allegheny Science & Technology Corporation to provide customers the resources they need to excel. As a PMIcertified Program Manager, she has developed a broad range of personal skills—from Earned Value Management to risk analysis and mitigation. Arria holds a BS in Accounting from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a MBA from West Virginia University. |

Brad DeRoos | Vice President Research and Development
Brad manages Allegheny Science & Technology Corporation’s Research and Development initiatives, bringing 25 years of engineering and management experience to the solving of complex problems for commercial and government customers. Brad graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1979 and served on both the fast attack nuclear submarine USS Philadelphia and the Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle Mystic. He worked at Battelle Memorial Institute for 13 years as an engineer and as a Senior Program Manager where he managed the Special Technologies Program Office which performed R&D and rapid prototyping for Special Operations and Counter Terrorism Forces. Additionally, he served as the Vice President of R&D at the WV High Tech Foundation where he managed advanced technology development initiatives—from collaborative software development and implementation to biometrics security projects. |

Bob Wentz
Bob is a Principle of Allegheny Science & Technology Corporation. He has over 15 years experience in leading technology companies and launching startups. Bob has managed technology development initiatives for the Department of Defense, NASA, the FBI, and other government agencies. He has successfully led DoD program implementations in software and systems engineering, enterprise architecture, modeling and simulation, and financial management. Bob completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering as well as a Masters in Business Administration from West Virginia University. He has been recognized as a West Virginia Executive Magazine Young Gun and continues to support technology based economic development efforts. |
